Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Christchurch, New Zealand, lies the enchanting Ōhinetahi Gardens, a place of  beauty with a profound sense of peace and tranquility.

With over 1.25 hectares of garden, Ōhinetahi is celebrated for its international significance. It is also home to two galleries, sculpture and woodland trails, and a significant 19th century homestead.

As photographers, we loved photographing at Ōhinetahi Gardens. The gorgeous environment and the picturesque landscape provided us with the perfect backdrop for capturing the perfect shots. The gardens offer a wide array of unique features, including an old-world charm that is hard to find anywhere else. The lush greenery, the vibrant flowers, and the serene water features make Ōhinetahi Gardens a bride’s paradise.

Not only is Ōhinetahi Gardens a popular spot for photography, but it is also a favourite with Christchurch’s professional event organisers and venue specialists. The gardens offer a unique and unforgettable location for any function, from weddings to corporate events.

In 2012, Ōhinetahi Gardens was gifted to the nation and is now run by the Ōhinetahi Charitable Trust. The trust has been working tirelessly to preserve the gardens’ natural beauty and to make it accessible to the public.

We highly recommend Ōhinetahi Gardens to anyone who wants an elegant, beautiful wedding, surrounded by history, beautiful gardens and a stunning view of Lyttleton Harbor.

Ōhinetahi Gardens isn’t just a venue, its an experience.
